The Violence Intervention Project, Inc. is hosting its 3rd Annual Smokehouse Jamboree on July 4th, and we need volunteers to help with a variety of tasks such as event set-up, food service, and working with the children's games. It should be a fun afternoon, and would be a great opportunity for anyone looking for a fun volunteer opportunity. especially for high school aged kids looking to get easy volunteer hours! Description
The Violence Intervention Project is a bilingual, non-profit organization that serves all of Kewaunee County. Services are free. Services VIP provides are a 24-hour Helpline (offering crisis intervention and information), individual advocacy (provided to victims and their children), weekly support groups (women's support group with a children's support group at the same time) sexual assault survivors, Latin@ women, transitional living facility(provides affordable housing, support, community connections, options and advocacy to women and their children), speaker's bureau/protective behaviors presentations(provide speakers for schools, churches, business, etc.)
