Orientation: June 15 th from 5p.m. to 7 p.m.
Training: June 17 th from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Orientation consists of an introduction to hospice session where prospective volunteers will complete paperwork, watch a video or slideshow on the history of hospice, and get any questions answered on hospice volunteering. Orientation will take about 2 hours.
Training will consist of learning about the fundamentals of hospice, the different hospice roles, documentation, the aspects of hospice care, as well as the dying process and the ways in which volunteers are involved.
If interested in becoming a hospice volunteer and attending the orientation and training dates, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator. In order to attend the orientation and training, perspective volunteers will need to contact the Volunteer Coordinator by June 8 th .
