Our Social Adult Day Program, Silver Connections, provides a welcoming environment for aging adults, allowing individuals to maintain independence with access to support and social activities during the weekday daytime hours. Our experienced staff provides quality care and support for people with Alzheimer's disease, other dementias and/or adults who may need assistance with daily living activities. This program also provides the much needed respite and peace of mind for caregivers that they deserve.

Mission Statement

OUR MISSION: To foster lifelong fulfillment through active citizenship and enriched community living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other challenges. OUR VISION: All individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other challenges are one with their communities.

Description

The Arc Ontario is a private, not-for-profit organization serving more than 700 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout Ontario County in New York. The agency strives to create an atmosphere which encourages independence, integration, and productivity for the people it serves. We take pride in celebrating the unique strengths and achievements of the people we support.

Here, we believe that nurturing uniqueness opens the door to endless, exciting possibilities. Whether that means landing a job and excelling in your career, finding new ways to creatively express yourself, or learning the skills needed to live on your own, we help people to realize the numerous ways they can fulfill their potential as valued, respected members of society. As a member of The Collaborative of NY, we focus on person-centered care and developing innovative solutions. Our primary goal is to promote opportunity and independence for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other challenges. We achieve this with over 40 services, but even more so through the complete respect and guidance we give families as they begin this life journey.
