Join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for an extraordinary evening as we announce the Man & Woman of the Year! Help support a great cause, by being a volunteer for the 2019 Grand Finale! We are seeking high level volunteers who are energetic and passionate about assisting LLS staff on this very important evening.

Each year, in communities across the country, dedicated candidates engage in an exciting competition to earn LLS’s "Man & Woman of the Year" titles. Raising funds for LLS blood cancer research the candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year.

Every dollar raised counts as one vote and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of 10 weeks. The campaign runs between February and June, ending with the grand finale celebration!

The details of volunteer roles are below, please let us know if you have a preference of placement for the evening, otherwise we would be happy to assign you a position.

Event Time: 4:30 pm - 10:00 pm

DRESSCODE: The dress code is business casual attire: cocktail dress or button up, collared-shirt with slacks (suit & tie optional); comfortable shoes (no sneakers).

4:00pm - 10:00pm

SILENT AUCTION
Volunteers will need to arrive no later than 4:00 pm to come and review all silent auction items and silent auction orientation. Volunteers will be positioned around the silent auction items during the times of open bidding, answer guest’ questions regarding the items or help with technological questions regarding mobile bidding. Once the silent auction is closed, volunteers will help collect all items and help sort and organize in check out area. At the time of auction check out, volunteers will assist in retrieving items to the bidding winner alongside our auction staff.

EVENT VOLUNTEER
Volunteers will need to arrive no later than 5:00pm in business and formal attire to help wherever necessary during the event - event runners, Fund the Fight runners, Live Auction runners, and event tear down crew.

Please note, we will provide volunteers with dinner, but volunteers will not be seated in the ballroom for the event.
