Are you headed out to Taste of Tacoma this year (June 23-25 at Point Defiance Park)? Make sure to stop by this year’s brand new attraction, South Sound Bites! Not only will Tacoma restaurants be featured through a 5-course entree/plate meals for only $16 but the event will also help support EFN! South Sound Bites attendees can make a monetary or canned food donation to EFN...and EFN will be there to accept these donations! Which means...you can also volunteer with EFN at this year’s Taste of Tacoma!

Mission Statement

The mission of Emergency Food Network is "to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry."

Description

"Currently, 1 in 10 people in Pierce County face food insecurity, and this need is continuing to rise. Through our 75+ Partner Programs (food pantries, meal sites, and shelters) all over Pierce County, EFN distributed over 14 million pounds of food in 2023 to our neighbors in need, including fresh produce grown at EFN’s Mother Earth Farm. This work was made possible by our 2,000+ volunteers, who worked over 12,000 hours in 2023. Volunteer work is vital in helping EFN pursue our mission of ensuring no person goes hungry. Volunteer opportunities include the Repack Project, Home Delivery, EFN’s Mother Earth Farm, and special events throughout the year. We hope you will join us!"
