The Lucas Artists Program at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga seeks volunteers to help us prepare for "Now Hear This!" a summer arts festival that will take place throughout the Montalvo grounds on July 21, 2017. Volunteers are needed to help in many aspects of the festival, from supporting the Curator with the planning, marketing and administration of the festival to working with nationally- and internationally-recognized artists to plan, create and install their sound sculptures in the 175-acre public park.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a minimum 3 month commitment, and a minimum of 10 hours per week. The position requires excellent critical thinking and writing skills, and the ability to work independently. Experience with social media platforms and uploading text and video is a plus. We are prepared to write a strong letter of recommendation for high-performing interns who contribute to the program for at least 3 months.
