We are a leader in arts and music education for students and must find new approaches to obtaining the funds to support our growth. We are seeking a board member knowledgeable about the fundraising efforts.
A Treasurer may manage or oversee the management of the financial affairs of the organization. Alert the staff to fundraising opportunities and assist in making connections to key relationships in the community.
Commitment: Two-year term, $500 contribution per year, monthly board meetings, attend family concerts and foster community connections.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
Extensive professional experience with significant executive leadership accomplishments in business, government, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector
A commitment to and understanding of Classics 4 Kids mission
Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for arts and music education for students.

Description
Classics 4 Kids was founded in 1994 as the result of a single effort to fill a gap in music education. After the founder raised funds for 600 students to attend a professional piano recital, soon more grades, schools, and districts began asking for access to high quality classical music concerts. This began our journey and we are proud to say that during our last season, Classics 4 Kids' educational programs served almost 30,000 students, teachers & families.
