The INMED Opportunity Center is looking for a STEM Instructor to help facilitate and lead STEM related activities for our summer camp. We serve children ages 5-12 in four 2-week sessions, starting in June.

We do offer a flexible schedule, but we are looking for someone who can help out at least once a week or once a session, for a total of 4-8 weeks within a specific age group (we can discuss this). Camp hours are from 2:00-6:00, and the time frame for the activity will be between 2:30 and 5:30. STEM sessions should last at least one hour. Materials can be provided, or you can bring your own.

For more information, or to join us, please reach out to Erin Lewis, Volunteer Coordinator, at 571-465-5996 or at elewis@inmed.org

Mission Statement

The mission of INMED Partnerships for Children is to rescue children from the immediate and irreversible harm of disease, hunger, abuse, neglect or violence and to prepare them to shape a brighter future for themselves and the next generation.

Description

INMED is an international humanitarian development organization that came into being 25 years ago in response to the suffering of children without medical care and essential medicines, and because of a belief in the power of partnerships.

Since 1986, INMED has worked in more than 100 countries within five priority areas: health and nutrition, education and skills building, food security and climate change, youth development and family services. Within each of these areas, our programs create lasting impact by addressing cross-cutting factors that influence the health, lives and opportunities of vulnerable underserved and hard-to-reach populations, by encouraging community collaboration and inspiring self-advocacy and self-reliance.
