The Love Pit Rescue is a 501c3 non profit working in the Dallas Fort Worth area. We are a pit bull type dog rescue group. We are foster based which means our dogs are pulled from kill shelters, neglectfull or abusive situations or from the streets. The dogs are then placed in foster homes with their Bully Buddies until they are adopted. TLP usually has about 40 dogs in our care.
The Love Pit is currently seeking an Intake Director.
The Intake Director will work with TLP Intake Committee to decide what dogs are pulled into the rescue. The responsibilities are to develop a submission system that enables the TLP team to have a voice in what dogs are considered for intake. Intake is approved through a voting system of the intake committee, made up of 5 of the directors from the TLP. 4 votes approves a dog for intake. When dogs is approved, Intake Director will communicate with Bully Buddy team to post for a foster. Intake Director will also communicate with the shelter and tag approved dogs. This position can be stressful in that we would like to save all the dogs but we can not. The Intake Director will have a strong personality and good judgement. Our goal is to educate the public about a breed that often falls victim to breed specific legislation, discrimination, and cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter initiatives, vaccinations, and training resources.

The Love Pit is a foster based rescue that is based in the Dallas Fort Worth area. We rescue death row dogs from DFW shelters and place them in foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
