JOB SUMMARY:

Primary responsibilities include customer service and merchandising of the Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue Thrift Shop. Processing of donations that come into the shop and selecting and marketing appropriate items for sale, as needed\directed within the store.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and rotate visually appealing displays to draw attention and to increase sales.
• Support the operation of our store.
• Organize shelves and clothing racks.
• Prepare items for distribution.
• Help customers find merchandise.
• Organize racks/hangers/shelves.
• Return go backs and put out new merchandise.
• Assist with displays and signage.
• Assure that the store has a visually appealing style.

Volunteers must be able to help create a supportive, friendly, clean and well organized thrift store

Requirements: We are looking for volunteers who

• Have outstanding customer service skills
• Have strong organizational skills
• Can Lift up to 30lbs
• Have some prior experience with merchandising or a desire to learn
• Work in a spirit of cooperation and mutual assistance with all other staff and Volunteers of Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue.

Shifts: Three Hours per Week. Day of Operation, Tuesday - Saturday 10-5

**Volunteers may choose to work more than one three-hour block
