The Ed Center is a non-profit after school center that provides quality services at affordable prices to the Crenshaw district area of Los Angeles.
Along with our tutoring and internship services, The Ed Center hosts an annual Summer Enrichment Camp that runs from 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday. We're looking for a Volunteer to help Coordinate the camp with the potential to be Paid for the next camp cycle.
This position is ideal for undergrad and grad students who are looking to give back to the community during the summer as well as those who need to fulfill "Volunteer Hours".
Benefits: Hands on experience in an educational setting/ non-profit setting; work directly with students of a broad age group, coordinating weekly field-trips, and becoming a role-model for our youth.

Mission Statement
The Saving The West's ED CENTER is a community-based non-profit education center in the Crenshaw district of South Los Angeles. The Ed Center offers low cost tutoring, Summer-STEAMS Camp, Internship Opportunities, Test prep, College application assistance, and Out of school enrichment studies. We currently serve over 75 families per academic semester at our state of the art learning center. We're partially staffed with volunteers and Masters students, which enables us to operate at the highest level of excellence with lower overhead than many similar organizations.
