Become trained to be a Bereavement Volunteer at Heartland Hospice. The bereaved need to be listened to and have their feelings validated after the loss of a loved one. Help assist someone through the journey of the grief process. Be a caring, thoughtful listener and help someone in their healing process. Hospice supports the recently bereaved for 13 months after the loss of a loved one.
Bereavement volunteers make phone calls (and possible visits) to families that have recently lost a loved one who was a Heartland Hospice patient.
If interested in becoming a Bereavement Volunteer and supporting someone through the grief and mourning process, please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Beth Argent at 804-288-0235 or Elizabeth.Argent@HCR-ManorCare.com
Training and orientation provided!
