Heartland Hospice is looking for certified Pet Therapy Dogs and their owners to provide friendly visits to terminally ill patients.
Pet visitor volunteers needed to provide support to terminally ill patients in hospice and family members. Pet therapy volunteers needed to provide friendly visit to our patients! Our patients are located within a 50-mile radius of our office; chances are there is a patient in need located near you!
Dogs must be certified by an organization such as Therapy Dogs International (TDI) or Pet Partners.
Unfortunately the following breeds cannot be accepted: Pit Bulls, Chow, Doberman Pincher, Dalmatian, Rottweiler.

Unfortunately Heartland is only able to accept visits from Therapy Dogs and not other Therapy animals, at this time.

Heartland Hospice is recruiting for volunteers to provide friendly visits and caregiver relief/respite sitting for terminally ill patients and their families. We have many ways for volunteers to engage and change the lives of our patients. If you have the heart for it, we welcome your willingness to serve.
