ORGANIZATION: Cumbee Center

  • 7 people are interested

The Cumbee Center provides free services to sexual assault and domestic violence victims and their loved ones, and is often in need of additional volunteer support at our domestic violence emergency shelter. Safe House Advocates choose times within their own schedule to come into the shelter to volunteer, and are given the opportunity to offer a variety of services to our clients, aiding in their recovery. Advocates are encouraged to speak with clients individually, read and play with the children who reside at the home, and organize fun projects with the residents! We are also looking for volunteers that are interested in organizing the home and/or performing maintenance and yard work at the safe house.
