Kids in Camp

We are looking for an energetic and friendly individual to volunteer and assist during Red Skye's Horsemanship Summer Program 2017. The teacher’s assistant will be responsible for 6, 6-12 year olds that are engaged in our Horsemanship Summer Program. The teacher’s assistant will work with the Camp Director to provide a fun, engaging, and safe environment on the Farm. Our program is about much more than riding horses. Applicant must be creative, self motivated, and love kids and animals but are not required to have any background in horse care. Teaching background is a plus. Our summer program is eight weeks (June 26th- August 24th, No program Week of July 4). 24 hours/week Monday through Thursday, 8:30- 2:30. Applicant must be 16 or older with own reliable transportation. Can’t work all nine weeks? Know someone who would like to job share? Red Skye is a farm in Bethany CT offering Horseback Riding Lessons, Birthday Parties, Summer Programs, Community Outreach Events, Animal Assisted Therapy, and Team Building. We rely on Volunteers for most of the care of the animals and farm maintenance.
