Volunteers are needed to contribute their time and energy at a Child Support Center. Volunteer will be working with children with disabilities. This specialist center is located in the Southern Zone of Tanzania - Mbeya; provides psycho-socio-educative services for children ranging from 3 - 18 years of age.

Volunteers are needed to work one-on-one with the children, and to arrange small groups activities. The specialists at the center will provide support, and will be available to assist where necessary. The job of a volunteer is not to substitute the specialists, but to provide much needed companionship for the children. Volunteers can be involved in a number of areas such as;

• Organizing games and activities for the children (sports, music, songs, dance, games etc).
• Helping on the art therapy program which encourages the children to use their imagination and teaches them to make arts and crafts.
• Work with the staff on awareness campaigns in order to improve the rights of children and youth living with disabilities.

Volunteers should be motivated to work with children living with disabilities and understanding of the challenges they face. It is essential that volunteers are polite, flexible, patient, mature, and dedicated to work in an environment where differences are met with an open heart. Volunteers will also be required to fill in our child protection form before the engagement with kids, above all, Volunteer should be in love with the kids.
