Jumpstart is a national nonprofit working towards making sure children from underserved communities enter kindergarten prepared to succeed! To do that, we implement our high-quality preschool curriculum in various preschools around Los Angeles. Children read a different book every week and make crafts related to themes of that book! Crafts are used in writing, puzzles, art, science, and reading centers!
We need volunteers to help prepare some of those crafts for our preschools! Whether it's making construction paper books, cutting out puzzles or preparing song charts, you can help our children by taking some time to craft!
We welcome high school groups, college/university clubs, corportations, etc.

Description
Each year, one third of America's children arrive on their first day of school without the skills necessary to succeed at grade level. When children begin behind their peers, catching up, especially without additional assistance, is difficult and unlikely. By focusing on enriching the education of preschool students from disadvantaged communities, Jumpstart is making sure every child has a chance at success. Jumpstart is a national nonprofit dedicated to inspiring children to learn, adults to teach, families to get involved, and communities to progress together.
