One week commitment or check-in days only

Whether you are an RN, PA, LPN, NP or MD, there is a place for you and your compassionate gifts at One Heartland. Located near beautiful Willow River, MN (1.5 hours north of the Twin Cities ). One Heartland is a place where you can become a part of a life-changing experience for the kids who need it most.

Campers are kids living with life challenges including living with HIV/AIDS, identifying as LGBT, facing homelessness or living in transitional housing, working to achieve a healthy lifestyle, or facing social isolation, intolerance, or serious health challenges. They all belong at One Heartland and so do you.

Free accommodations include a comfortable private room with bathroom/shower, plus healthy meals including salad bar at lunch and dinner. Length of volunteer time can be from a few days to a week, a month, or longer. Orientation is provided and a fulfilling time is guaranteed. Minnesota professional license is required to be a Club Meds volunteer.

Club Meds volunteers will experience:

  • Camper intake assessments
  • Daily medical care, including first aid
  • passing medications
  • record-keeping
  • participating in general camp programs
