Morning Classroom
Classroom volunteers are essential to the work that we do here at The Children's Place. Our volunteers work directly with the children in our care to overcome challenges, grow, and flourish.
Individuals are needed to serve as classroom assistants in the Day Treatment Services program. Volunteers spend one morning each week from 8:45 a.m. to noon working directly with the children that we serve. Classroom volunteers assist with family style eating, facilitating basic skills (e.g. buttoning a coat, tying a shoe, washing hands), assisting with playtime, story reading, and other tasks.
The hands-on commitment of caring volunteers enables us to provide each and every child in the program with the maximum amount of much needed stimulation, guidance, nurturing, and love.
This position requires a commitment of once per week for a minimum of four (4) months.
