Heart to Heart Hospice is needing a friendly face to come in and help give our patients some extra attention. Many patients are not able to make it out of the house easily and simply want a trim or hair cut. Some patients are just wanting a manicure or pedicure. I need your help in making these simple wishes granted. Please contact me to see how you can help out in make our patients feel the best that we can! Training is free and so is a helping hand.

Description
Heart to Heart Hospice of Southwest Indiana is looking for volunteers to assist our patients, families and our team in bringing quality hospice care to our community. Hospice volunteers show their compassion and care in many ways by visiting the patient and family at home, in the nursing home, or in the hospital. You may choose to be a Direct Patient Care Volunteer and/or an Administrative Volunteer. Regardless of your choice you are a valuable member of our Heart to Heart team!
Direct Patient Care Activities include but not limited to:
Reading books or news
Running errands
Caregiver relief
Making phone calls
Writing letters
Preparing meals
Companionship activities-life review, hobbies, expressing interests
Playing cards or games
Bereavement activities
Administrative Volunteer Activities include but not limited to:
Answering phones
Filing and light office work
Making deliveries of supplies
Making bereavement calls or patient tuck in calls
Assisting with community relations
