Gain valuable resume-building experience and new computer skills while learning more about non-profit work by assisting office staff at St James Immigrant Assistance.

St. James Immigrant Assistance helps refugees and immigrants to learn English, become citizens and connect to community resources. Current services include ESL Tutoring, Citizenship Preparation, Naturalization Assistance, and Elder Integration.

We need office support to help with the maintenance of our student and volunteer records.

Learn or enhance your Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Access skills through a variety of office support tasks such as helping with bulk mailings, compilation of our quarterly newsletter, word processing, data entry, bulk shredding, copying, filing, etc.

Our mission is to promote an inclusive society and advance justice for refugees and immigrants through education, advocacy, and by helping the most isolated refugees and immigrants to learn English, become citizens and connect to community resources. We support the integration of refugees and immigrants into the larger community, and recognize that this is a shared process involving both immigrants and the communities into which they move.

We serve the community by providing free and low-cost Immigrant Assistance refugees and immigrants throughout King County.
