Our emergency shelter kitchen is responsible for providing 3 meals each day to the men, women and children who are temporarily the guests of Joseph's House. Our kitchen staff would like help on Fridays and Mondays, to prepare for the weekend and to deal with weekend food donations: making space in refrigerators for what may come in, or helping assess donations after the weekend. Training is provided as necessary. Volunteers are welcome to work a regular shift of 2 hours on Monday or/ and Friday morning. Many people have used working in our kitchens as a way to build skills and enhance their resume, in addition to those just wanting to give back in a very immediate way: people need to eat!
