Campaign Strategist to help save Endangered Species in Central America

Planet Rehab, a 501 c3 environmental nonprofit, is seeking an experienced Campaign Strategist to assist us with our Planet Rehab Endangered Species Project.

  • THE NEED: According the the UN Env. Report Humans are causing the largest extinction in the last 65 million years - meaning that approx. 150-200 species are going extinct DAILY. Central America is a bio-sensitive area that is home to over 6% of the world's species and is threatened in numerous ways.
  • THE PLAN: Planet Rehab to relocate to Panama in 2019 and begin an aggressive breeding program of species vulnerable to extinction. The plan will incorporate protecting and restoring native habitats, assisting with species needs (planting native food sources, etc) and offspring from our breeding program will be released into our protected rainforest.
SOME OF THE TEAM:
  • Executive Director Gary Mitchell will be incharge of the project. Gary is bilingulal and has over 40 years of experience breeding exotic species and has a keen desire to protect nature.
  • Micro-Biologist and Amphibian Specialist Marina De Leon will direct Amphibian Breeding Efforts. Her current work is aimed at developing a cure for Chytrid - which is devastating Amphibian Populations around the globe. Marina is bilingual and has extensive experience in Costa Rica, Columbia and various other bio sensitive regions.
  • Avian Specialist Eric Smith has 20 years of experience working with native and exotic bird populations. Eric currently leads trips for Audoban Society and has worked with Planet Rehab for 3 years.
