Thank you for considering participation in Berkeley Youth Alternatives Pop-Up Wellness Clinic on June 29 th, 2017 from 4:00PM-6:30PM. The goals of the event are to provide our community with access to preventative care with a highlight on the awareness of men’s health. The individuals participating will span the entire community, including youth, adults, seniors, families, people with disabilities, as well as our own staff. As a volunteer, we would like you/your organization to be equipped to answer questions and/or provide preventative screenings pertaining to dental and/or medical health. We also encourage bringing educational, promotional and innovative health materials for distribution.

Mission Statement

Berkeley Youth Alternatives (BYA) uses two strategies to help young people and their families to address problems: Prevention--reach young people before their problems become crises, and Intervention--provide support services to those who are entangled in the juvenile justice system.

Description

BYA-Has several different programs: Afterschool/Summer Jam Program k-6, Teen Center, Computer lab, Garden Patch, Crisis Counseling Program, Girls Twilite Basketball- Sports Program, RAVE(Rising Against Violent Element), Mentoring Program, Nutrition Education Program, and Career Development. These programs are provided to enrich the lives of the participants.
