SUNDAY PRODUCE SORT (2 pm to 4 pm, Northwest Center)
Sort and pack donated produce into family-sized distribution packages for Bread for the City's clients. Learn more on the Sunday Produce Sort factsheet .
Sunday volunteers are required to turn in the Bread for the City liability waiver to a member of the Volunteer Program Staff by Noon on the Friday prior to service. Sunday volunteers will only receive credit for their service if they have signed the NW Volunteer Log on the front desk.
On rare occasion, the vendor who provides fruits and vegetables for Sunday Produce Sort will not have produce to provide. We encourage volunteers to provide a cell number on the sign-up form in case of unexpected cancellation. In some instances, Produce Sort volunteers are re-purposed as clothing sort volunteers when produce is not donated. Thank you for your understanding!
Staff typically offers a tour of Bread for the City after Sunday Produce Sort service on 3rd and 4th Sundays only.
We look forward to working with you!
