The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. The Latinas On the Verge of Excellence - L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program supports and empowers young Latinas to strive both in school and life by providing positive role models. L.O.V.E. is currently looking for a social media intern who will collaborate with the communications and social media platforms of the organization. The intern will work 15 hours per week.
L.O.V.E. Social Media Intern responsibilities
Monitor analytics with social media team to identify viable ideas
Responds to posts or comments to bring value to audience’s interactions with the purpose of growing L.O.V.E.’s online social networks
Performs research to find articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to our audience and post it to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter page in a manner that invites conversation and interaction
Updates Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from L.O.V.E.’s activities and events
Completes other social media projects as assigned
Creative self. Starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration
Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
