Time Commitment: 5 Saturday sessions minimum, up to 10 Saturday sessions available
- Saturdays 9am - 12.30pm - June 3 to August 5
Job Description: Assist CLC staff with running Saturday STEM sessions - a series of 10 family events at CLC, featuring programming from Bay Area STEM organizations (California Academy of Sciences, Computer History Museum, Stanford University, and many others). Attendees will be families with children ranging from ~6-13 years of age. Primary duties involve setup & clean-up, evaluation, documentation and general facilitator assistance.
Duties (may include):
- ● Assist families to experience the joy of learning together through hands-on STEM opportunities.
- ● Assist program staff to evaluate (with paper survey collection) and document events (through photography and attendance records).
- ● Assist program staff to welcome facilitators to site, and help facilitators setup and clean-up programs. Help facilitators with general needs during program implementation (hands-on STEM activities).
- ● Document stories of family engagements and achievement in activities for funder reports.
- ● Understand and follow all Community Learning Center Volunteer procedures. Participate in training sessions.
