We are looking for committee members willing to commit their time, talent and resources in support of the Annual Night of Trees Gala. This event is a Washington holiday tradition supporting Special Olympics DC and will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022. Meetings are once a month and you can complete your tasks on your own time! Candidates can apply to a variety of positions to include:

  1. Sponsorship/Table Captain: Do you like getting people together? This is your chance to fill the tables. Candidates will identify potential event sponsors (corporate teams, companies, organizations) and focus on recruiting virtual or in person table captains to purchase and fill tables.
  2. Live and Silent Auction: Do you like to shop and travel? Do you have stores that are your go and destinations that may know you by name? Then this is the position for you! Put those hobbies to work by brainstorming and acquiring items for both the Live and Silent Auction. This includes, trips, golf packages, gift baskets or anything that you can think of for the event.
  3. Sommelier Captain: Do you have your favorite place to shop? This is your chance to ask them to help you by donating items to our silent auction and registration incentives.
  4. Social Media: Calling all social butterflies! This position is perfect for the tech savvy social influencer. Create a buzz about the Night of Trees Gala and SODC through social media.
