Purpose
To post & share valuable content via social media that is connected to our mission to help people and their pets. Also, to help us grow our social media audience.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Regularly post info, photos and graphics (that we supply) as part of various campaigns.
- Possibly create or source additional campaign-related material to post or share.
- Meet with communications team to discuss, understand and create a plan for timing and approach of each campaign
- Monitor and report results; make suggestions for improvements
Volunteers will be assigned individual campaigns and specific social media outlet(s), depending upon interest and experience. We currently post to facebook, instagram, twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and LinkedIn. We would like to expand to include others, too.

Qualifications
- Experience using key social media outlets.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm for harnesslife.org mission and programs, including our emphasis on spay/neuter.
- Willingness to engage in consistent communication with HL Board member(s) re: progress, trends, changes, and additions to program approach or scope.
- Dependability and demonstrated ability to set appropriate schedules and meet deadlines.
- Works well independently and as part of a communications team.

We are an all volunteer nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that initiates, promotes and supports strategies to prevent cat and dog overpopulation.
Description
We work to #StopRoverpopulation through prevention, education and support:
- We pursue proven strategies to reduce the number of companion animals entering our shelters
- We sponsor TNR clinics to humanely manage outdoor cat population
- We subsidize pet spay neuter clinics to help needy families
- Our spokespups help promote important animal welfare messages
- Our workshops help students to think critically about companion animal issues
- Our outreach programs help change perceptions through personal contact
