ORGANIZATION: Forests Forever

Forests Forever is an environmental nonprofit based in Berkeley whose mission is to protect and enhance the forests and wildlife habitat of California through educational, legislative, and electoral activities.

We are looking for an SEO intern who is an independent problemsolver and excellent teamworker to help our organization with the following tasks:

  • Correct errors in initial set up of google analytics/webmaster that did not account for the Forest Forever's website being hosted over several domains
  • Work with and teach staff to manage google analytics/webmaster as well as create a set of goals and specific measures to track
  • Look at what has been done so far with keyword and description meta tags and make recommendations for what else should be implemented
  • Help create clear plan for SEO implementation into the future

Requirements:

  • Availability during weekday afternoons and/or evenings
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with SEO, google analytics and webmaster
  • Strong teaching and collaboration skills so that our staff member can learn what is needed and how to manage SEO going forward

Our efforts helped galvanize the broad-based public awareness and outcry that led to that and other forest victories across the state. For more than 25 years we have been rallying Californians in defense of the state’s 17 million acres of woodland ecosystems and watersheds. We engage in year-round education, grassroots organizing and executive-branch and legislative advocacy.
