  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 11 people are interested

The Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center will be hosting its 6th annual Lowcountry Mental Health Conference on July 27th and 28th at the Gaillard Center. The conference will feature 8 speakers, ranging from professors to licensed professionals. People attend from all over the US to attend this unique and enriching experience. Proceeds from the conference benefit Mental Health Heroes, a local non-profit that aims to support individuals and familes with mental illness. To learn more about the conference itself, visit http://www.lowcountrymhconference.com

A great deal of preparation and involvement is needed to make the conference a success. CDMHC is looking for volunteers to help before, during, and after the conference. As a thank you for your help, admission to the conference will be FREE for volunteers! Some of these needs include:

- Stuffing bags before conference (we will be doing this all day on Friday, July 21st)

- Alphabetizing and assembling nametags before conference

- Collating presenter evaluations

- Assisting with registration check-in

- Ushering sections of auditorium

- Providing customer service to exhibitors in VIP section

- Unloading and organizing/sorting materials after conference

If you are interested in helping with any of these tasks, please contact Jessica Schwartz at jessica.schwartz@scdmh.org for more specific information and if you have questions!
