ORGANIZATION: Ten Thousand Villages Atlanta

Support Fair Trade in Atlanta!

Ten Thousand Villages is in search of Volunteers.

We are looking for volunteers to help spread the word about Fair Trade and Ten Thousand Villages in Atlanta, and get people interested and involved in our cause.

As an Outreach volunteer, you will go out into the community and connect. Recruit volunteers, help bring in customers, share knowledge of Fair Trade.

You will be the face of Fair Trade in the community. This opportunity not only helps Ten Thousand Villages but also will help bring awareness of Fair Trade to Atlanta in general.

Ten Thousand Villages is a nonprofit fair trade gift shop marketing fairly traded handicrafts from around the world.

We have been working hard to bring Fair Trade to Atlanta since 1994.

We have a solid mission. Our store is completely Fair Trade. Ten Thousand Village products our completely paid for when they leave the Artisan. Our store sources from 47 different countries.

Our mission empowers Artisans and seeks to provide them with long-term improvement in their quality of life.

Our store has a very small staff and we depend on our volunteer staff to keep us going. Currently we need volunteers to work shifts, assist in recruitment, and work with us at offsite sales and events.

We do require that you:

Are 18 years or older

Complete interview and reference check

Successfully complete of orientation and training.

Complete four shifts in store within two months of sign up.

You must have your own reliable transportation.

We are looking for long-term volunteers (at least one year).
