Execute short term department tasks developed to support programs and/or projects within the office. These commonly include filing, prepare mailings, assemble materials for training courses, run errands (chapters provides vehicle), call students/participants to remind them of upcoming events, collect data and compile various reports, stamp brochures, maintain a clean and organized office environment, etc. Become familiar with location of office supplies Respect client and volunteer confidentiality at all times Become familiar with basic office procedures and filing systerms. Utilize them as necessary to accomplish tasks Any other related duties as assigned Depending on your skills, abilities and interests, the advanced training and additional orientations to more detailed, complicated, and involved tasks may be provided. With the approval of the Department Director or designee, you may be asked to develop skills necessary to do one or more of the following: Maintain records and data in specialized computer systems Manage the department in the absence of paid staff Answer the phone and provide appropriate community referrals for services not offered by the Red Cross Provide leadership for or participate in a special project. Projects are more involved than short-term office tasks
