Naples Senior Center at JFCS offers weekly support groups for individuals with early to mid-stage dementia from 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Each group meets weekly for four hours including brain games, music therapy, chair exercises, and lunch. Volunteers are needed for our dementia respite group at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Marco Island by filling in every now and then when our regular group volunteers are away on Mondays and Wednesdays. And when season starts we are going to start a seasonal group on Thursdays or Fridays we will need ongoing volunteers for.
All of our volunteers are integral to the successful running of this program. They help to create a safe and comfortable environment for our participants. All of our current volunteers always leave the group feeling really great. It is a very rewarding opportunity. Our volunteers often say they get more out of the group than the participants.

Naples Senior Center at JFCS is a non-sectarian organization dedicated to meeting the human service needs of our Collier and southern Lee county communities NSC programs, such as mental health counseling, geriatric case management, volunteer services, the Food Pantry and the Naples Senior Center (the first-ever in Collier County) support and strengthen people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs, often at times of vulnerability and crisis. Whether it is individual counseling for depression, anxiety mood, life event issues, a bereavement group for support after a loss, food for the table during difficult financial times or a hot lunch and socialization at the senior center, NSC is here to help.
