Help students in 6th-8th grade learn about financial literacy, workreadiness and entrepreneurship through hands-on interactive activities. No teaching or business background necessary. All materials and training provided, user-friendly with ready to use lesson plans.
JA in a Day (One-Day Visit):
The JA in a Day program takes place in a child’s classroom, during which volunteers present Junior Achievement curriculum to students in kindergarten through eighth grade in a one-day format. JA staff works directly with the school to arrange an event date. The volunteers cover all lessons in one visit and can teach in pairs.
Training: 1 hour
Prep Time: 2-5 hours prior to the JA in a Day event
Volunteer Time: 4-5 hours. The teacher will be in the classroom at all times. Lunch and other breaks will be taken according to the normal classroom schedule.
