Volunteering in Peru with comunnities

The civil organisation "Sharing dreams " is developing and increasing its volunteering projects, working with "warmy" women groups here in the Andes. For the last three years, we have worked with national and international volunteers, developing activities and projects targeting the organisation and empowerment of groups of Andean migrant women. We focus on aspects such as gender equality, machismo and socio-cultural exclusion, domestic violence, violence towards women, sexuality, health, nutrition etc.

We are a registered legal entity. We develop projects on site, standing shoulder to shoulder with communities. We operate on the basis of a flat structure and teamwork (professionals, volunteers, communities).

If you are looking to contribute to a social volunteering project, with no intermediaries, that is developed by volunteers themselves, where you work in teams, offering you socio-cultural immersion atlittle to no cost(excursions, choices of language or cooking courses, access to knowledge on culture and folklore), in a rewarding and fun format, write to us.

During weekends, we organise group excursions to many places of interest, such as mountains, pre-Inca ruins, villages, camps, rainforests and waterfalls.

Get in touch with us. We will be delighted to provide you with details of all aspects of volunteering.

- YOU MUST HAVE A SENSE OF RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY AND ABILITY TO ADAPT TO CULTURAL AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC SITUATIONS of the country and area where you will be living and working.

Mission Statement

Sharing Dreams Project is a volunteer-driven non-profit organisation that works directly with the most vulnerable inhabitants of the Peruvian Andes, and that runs various volunteer projects, focusing above all on improving the well-being of women and children.

Description

Sharing Dreams Project is a volunteer non-profit organisation that works directly with the most vulnerable inhabitants of the Peruvian Andes, and that runs various volunteer projects, focusing above all on improving the well-being of women and children.

We work directly with communities of the Central Andes of Peru (2009), where the neglect and need is great. There is virtually no presence of volunteering or state organisations providing these children with assistance, emotional, caring, educational or material support.

Come and participate in this wonderful cause, by helping to improve self-esteem that has been destroyed and by assisting with education. Many of the children come from dysfunctional migrant Quechua families that suffer from neglect and domestic violence that is caused by their difficult situation and economic, social and cultural marginalisation.
We are a non-commercial volunteering alternative that focuses on participation and operating a flat organisational structure.

We promote self-management within communities, as a means of organisation and development.
