Did you know that 80 percent of all pancreatic cancer research dollars come from federal funding? In order to make progress for cancer patients across the nation, we need to advocate for continued federal funding for cancer research. It all starts with individuals in your community raising their voice and becoming an advocate for the pancreatic cancer community!
We particularly need help in the central Michigan area, as your community is represented by a key member of Congress that plays a special role in making decisions about cancer research funding.
As a Community Advocate for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, you will help grow your local movement in central Michigan during Congress’ 115th term! You will regularly communicate with your elected officials and their offices about current issues in pancreatic cancer research, recruit other passionate advocates from your neighborhood and help influence Congress to make cancer research a national priority! In this important role you will also help raise critical awareness, support and funds from your local community to help fuel our fight against pancreatic cancer.
Help us take our message to Washington and tell Congress to dedicate more funding to pancreatic cancer research to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020!More opportunities with Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
