Volunteers will have the experience of working with our Eureka! summer camp participants. Eureka! is a hands-on, girl-focused approach of the Girls Incorporated Operation SMART (Science, Math and Relevant Technology) Program, which intentionally exposes young women to career paths in mathematical, scientific and technical fields. Eureka! also encompasses sports, self-defense and personal developmental activities that meet the intellectual, social, physical and emotional needs of adolescent girls. These well-rounded activities are facilitated by dynamic women on a college campus for four weeks. The Eureka! approach enables girls to be Strong, Smart and Bold(r). Eureka! helps to empower them to thrive in areas important to their present and future selves, and compensates for gender discrimination and other barriers girls too often encounter.
