Join Children's Creativity Museum this Fall/Winter as an Education Volunteer! Make an instant impact in our innovative art and technology museum where you'll get the opportunity to work with children and families from all backgrounds. Our Education Volunteers are responsible for ensuring our visitors are having a rich and meaningful experience while maintaining museum exhibits. Spend your time getting to know our awesome team while learning about what it takes to run our museum!
Status: Unpaid Volunteer Position
Times Available: Wednesday - Sunday, 9:30am - 4:30pm, 11:00am - 3:00pm, or 12:30pm - 4:30pm
Expected Commitment: Two shifts per month from Septemember 15th 2017-January 15th 2017
Age Range: Teens and adults (Highschool+)
-Greet visitors to each space and explain how to get started in our innovative exhibits.
-Assist and facilitate activities in our Animation Lab, Music Studio, Innovation Lab, Robot Coding Lab, and Community Lab.
-Provide help and support to visitors engaging in creative activities.
-Direct visitors to different fun spaces.
-Reset and tidy up each space - pick up paper, keep supplies filled and reset stations.
-Alert managers and staff to any immediate needs.
Volunteers, based on the time they put in, will be worked with one on one to strengthen professional skills and knowledge of educational strategies.
