The Buddy Walk is a day we celebrate our loved ones with Down syndrome. We start with a 5K run, the Buddy Walk, food, games, music, and raffle baskets.

Help is needed in the following areas:

Setup

Registration

Signage & Decorations

Food Service

Games

Raffle baskets

Tear down / Clean up

We are also looking for entertainment for the day.

The mission of the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita is to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families by providing them with support and resources and by raising public awareness about Down syndrome.

  • Educational print materials and baby gifts for families with a new child with Down syndrome

  • Down Syndrome Society of Wichita informational brochures to be placed in hospitals, doctors' offices, and other pertinent locations around Wichita and Kansas

  • An annual picnic for Down Syndrome Society of Wichita families

  • Provide Buddy Walk prizes and print materials
