Great American Cleanup April 2017
Volunteers from Comcast doing a great job!

Help us clean the beaches north and south of Boynton Inlet by joining us every 3rd Saturday of the month between 8-10:30 AM. Cleaning the beaches helps reduce marine debris which is dangerous to marine wildlife such as sea turtles, manatees, dolphins, whales, sea birds, and fish.

We meet at Ocean Inlet Park in Ocean Ridge in the large pavilion west of A1A closest to the south jetty. Go in the south entrance, make a right, drive a few hundred feet and you will see our banner near the pavilion You don't need to do any paperwork before arriving. We provide all the supplies (reusable gloves, grabbers, buckets, bags)- you just need to be dressed for a hot, sunny, sandy morning at the beach. Typically our volunteers walk about 1/2 mile (1 mile round trip) on the sandy beach picking up litter and plastics that have washed in from the ocean. It is getting very hot on the beach so dress in loose clothing in light colors to reflect the sunlight. Bring a hat and a reusable water bottle - we have a cooler for water refills.
