Henderson County is blessed to have a core group of volunteers to help the Sheriff’s Office fulfill its mandate, but in order to maintain a strong and viable Volunteers In Partnership program, recruitment must continue on a regular basis. We are seeking individuals who can donate a minimum of 4 hours per week to fulfill many different volunteer assignments such as: security at the Judicial Courthouse, security at the Historic Courthouse, front desk duty at the Sheriff’s Office as well as fingerprinting services for non criminal matters, traffic control for events, funeral escorts, and Mobile Watch in Henderson County neighborhoods to name a few.

The VIP program helps support the Sheriff’s Office goals and mission by developing and strengthening partnerships and relationships with the community.
Description
The program began in 1995 with the purpose of assisting the Sheriff’s Office. It started with just a few individuals who performed tasks which were mostly administrative in nature, but it has grown to be a valuable service to Henderson County by providing; added security to the Judicial Courthouse, security at the Historic Courthouse, front desk duty at the Sheriff’s Office, fingerprinting services for non criminal matters, traffic control for events, funeral escorts, and mobile watch in Henderson County neighborhoods to name a few.
