PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The American Red Cross offers exceptional undergraduate and graduate students internship opportunities at our Red Cross National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and in chapters across the country through Internship Program. Interns are matched with specific department where they work on advancing critical projects. The overall aim of the program is to altract a pool of diverse, skilled, enthusiastic young professionals and provide them with an oppourtunity to build a long-term, substantive relationship with the Red Cross.
OPEN TIME DAYS
20-29 hours weekly
The intern will learn organizational structures, communications procedures, leadership, PR industry expectations, collaboration, interpersonal/public communication, research/analytical skills, and standard communications process and formats. ｠The intern will learn self awareness of interests and skills/abilities, direct report relationships, business acumen, presentation skills, and an understanding of career path and professional requirements.
