The San José Public Library is looking for adult volunteers wanting to make an impact in their community. Sign up to assist with our Summer Reading Challenge and our Summer Lunch Program. Two incredibly rewarding programs which greatly benefit from those looking to volunteer.

As a Summer Reading Challenge volunteer, you can help your community while interacting with local youth and families. We're looking for enthusiastic adults wanting to work alongside a teen volunteer to help promote our Summer Reading Challenge. Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
