Hospice Direct Patient Care Volunteer
30 people are interested
Do you enjoy working with people and providing supportive care? Do you have 3 or more hours a week to make a difference in your community? Volunteers are an important part of the hospice experience as they can provide a listening ear, caregiver relief, and other supportive care.
Volunteers provide companionship, bedside reading, bedside music & art, telephone contact, life review & life history, and pet companionship.
Volunteers with certified and trained dogs, experience with massage therapy or aroma therapy are encouraged to apply, but it is not a required qualification. If you are interested, please respond to this listing with a phone number and/or email address and a resume.
Direct patient care volunteers must have a reliable form of transportation, be able to pass a background check, undergo a medical screening, and complete training and orientation.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at: (626) 335-1082 and ask for Angelica (Volunteer Coordinator).
Thank you, I hope to hear from you soon.
We'll work with your schedule.
