ORGANIZATION: After the Harvest

Greens&Jeans

We need fun and energetic volunteers to help us with our county fair "uptown, down home" themed fundraiser in September. This is a big undertaking and we need your help to make it a success!! There are several volunteer tasks and shifts available for help on Saturday, September 15th. This event will include a live and silent auction, activity booths with games and prizes, and a wonderful down-home themed meal with a cake walk and more!

Volunteers will help with the setup, serving food and beverages, ticket sales and supervising the activity booths. Are you enthusiastic, outgoing, and detail oriented? You’re our dream volunteer! Come join us!. Greens&Jeans is a fun event that supports our ability to provide hungry people with healthy food. Contact mariah@aftertheharvestkc.org or 816-921-1903 for more information on how to sign up to help!

After the Harvest rescues nutritious fruits and vegetables from going to waste and donates them to agencies that serve hungry people, primarily in Greater Kansas City. Our volunteers glean after the harvest, picking what’s left in farmers’ fields and picking up already harvested leftover produce. The majority of the funds we raise helps secure semi-truckloads of donated produce that might otherwise end up in landfills. After the Harvest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the largest produce donor to Harvesters-The Community Food Network.
