Abode Hospice Denver is seeking volunteers to spend time with our patients who are experiencing life-limiting illness. Our patients live all over the Denver metro area, and our volunteers are an integral part of the hospice care team that aims to enhance our patients' quality of life. Volunteers provide companionship to our patients by offering active listening and engaging in activities like playing cards, reading, and listening to music. Other activities include helping patients complete legacy projects, as well as providing respite for caregivers.
We provide extensive training to our volunteers on the philosophy of hospice and the values that are central to hospice care. If you are looking for a meaningful opportunity and would like to be a gift to others, please consider joining us at Abode Hospice. Volunteer hours are flexible and we will work with your schedule.
