Athletic directors direct athletic activities, supervise the coordination of athletic events and manage athletic department budgets at secondary and postsecondary schools. Outside of these requirements, athletic directors may also participate in revenue development planning and fundraising. Additionally, these professionals serve as liaisons with sports conference or division administrators, such as those from the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Athletic directors may also be in charge of hiring and firing coaches. To do so, these professionals assess current and prospective coaches based on team goals, achievements and other parameters
Work under the Athletic Director Girls Empowered Mentored Eddie Hutton Jr

Description
Girls Empowered Mentored & Supported (G.E.M.S) Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides mentoring, workshops and support to assist middle and high school girls in the Metropolitan Atlanta area. G.E.M.S. Programs will offer commitment, encouragement and strength to empower our young ladies.
"Our Mission is to assist girls age 10 to 17 deal with life-changing experiences. We believe mentoring relationships in girls-only environments develop knowledge and power. Our Goal is to support and inspire girls through counseling, educating, and promoting self-awareness."
Congratulations to us! After careful review, and with a recommendation from Staples associate Rodger Stephens, Girls Empowered Mentored & Supported has been awarded funding from the Staples Foundation in support of our commitment to improving the local community aligns with Staples' goal of enriching the areas where our associates and customers live and work.
G.E.M.S. will focus primarily on middle and high school youths; it is projected that within three years, 50% of the system’s students will be in middle school. This age group is particularly problematic and a perfect time for mentoring to be effective. The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same, empower girls to make positive changes in their lives.
