BMCC is hosting community 'Iftar' dinners (all are welcome!) on Fri, Sat, Sundays.
FRI 5/26, 6/2, 6/9, 6/16, 6/23
SAT 5/27, 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24
SUN 5/28, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18. 6/25
MON 5/29 (MEMORIAL DAY)
We need some extra helping hands to prep, cut, wash, and clean up.
Ideally would prefer some culinary experience (even at home!). Comfortable around knives, good knife skills, and familiarity with stoves & commercial kitchen.
**This is a great opportunity for a group to volunteer together, or for anyone with some culinary experience**
ALL TASKS ASSIGNED WILL BE UNDER SUPERVISION OF PROFESSIONAL CHEF AND SOUS CHEF AND KITCHEN STAFF.
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc. Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc. Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
