Market volunteers help with everything from setup to tear-down. They help run our Waste Center, answer questions at our information booth, and plan and manage kid's activities! We'd love to hear from a volunteer who would like to plan and execute cooking demos with market produce!
Our Forest Grove Farmers Market runs every Wednesday evening from May through the end of October from 4PM - 8PM on Main Street. Setup volunteers arrive at 2:00PM, and tear-down ends at 9PM. This can be a drop-in opportunity, or a longer term commitment depending on your schedule and desired role.
Since 2005, Adelante Mujeres has managed the Forest Grove Farmers Market, fostering cross-cultural exchange during this family-focused community event. We strive to provide an outlet for small farmers and food producers to connect with the community and offer fresh, local products. The market also serves as a small-business incubator for graduates of our Sustainable Agriculture and Empresas Small Business Development programs.
We are committed to making healthy foods accessible for the whole community, so that's why the Forest Grove Farmers Market accepts SNAP and FDNP!

Mission Statement
We're on a mission to build a more just society by empowering Latinas to lead. Adelante Mujeres provides holistic education and empowerment opportunities to low income Latina women and their families to ensure full participation and active leadership in the community.
Description
Adelante Mujeres was founded in 2002 by Bridget Cooke and Sister Barbara Raymond. Through their work in other local organizations, Bridget and Barbara noticed that Latina women did not actively participate in the programs. They founded Adelante Mujeres to empower these women, who were often relegated to the home. As the founders suspected, when presented the opportunity to attend a program focused on and developed for women, these same women quickly found their voices. For over 10 years, Adelante Mujeres has served western Washington County by providing holistic education and empowerment opportunities to low income Latina women and their families, in order to ensure full participation and active leadership in the community.
